I can see some customization on your self defense gun, mainly sights, grip texture, but personally not to keen on changing the triggers on one, but this is just me.

Never had a problem Customizing a weapon to have it be more of what I want and need. Could care less about resale value or if anyone else likes it.

S&W Model 60

Mag-na-ported, action work, springs, outlined rear sight custom Cmore green front sight, new grips.

Ruger Redhawk .44 magnum

Barrel chopped from 5.5 inches to 4.5 inches. Magnaported, action job, springs, inverted muzzle crown, Cmore sights, ivory grips.

I get sights and maybe slicking up a DA hammer fired trigger but when people complain about a 5 pound trigger pull on a striker or cry iver a 1911 not having front strap stippling I think “to bad our hands can’t squeeze up and make it tighter….oh wait they can”

Yeah if people like to spend money in silly stuff it’s their money but don’t tell me the line of BS you bought into why we all need to!

Never know what someone else's situation is. Might have bad arthritis or hand injury. Or age is catching up...

My reference wasn’t for folks with hand and strength issues so I should have been more specific.

I have watched full grown (with all their functions) men throw a tantrum because a fiber optic rod broke or was dirty OR they forgot it was ootic night at the weekly bowling pin match and just quit or refuse because they didn’t have their “gadget gun”

I get changing grips (I did ole Ty on my Wheelguns back in the day) or a strip of skateboard tape and who hasn’t replaced sights with something they like more (unless it’s a Glock then you have to change those cheap slot fillers)

My issues is the dudes that have a mental breakdown if they don’t have that perfect everything aka Goldilocks!!!

If it makes the gun better for you, go for it. (y)
But making changes just because its the current trend, looks cool or everybody is doing it is a complete waste of money and sometimes even makes the gun less useful to you.
I spent my life working with my hands. This has left them strong and hard. I find aggressive grip patterns are actually bad for me. I much prefer smooth or lightly textured grips. Likewise, I can easily work with heavy triggers that others find impossible.
My point is that everybody is different. Make only the changes that work for you.
