Some atates like FL argue its because the kids at the school bus stop would be standing in the dark waiting for their buses. Particulary the middle school age and younger. Safety issue. I get it. I dont agree thouh.

Middle schooler here in N tx got killed last year crossing the street to the school in the dark.

Not a fault of the darkness or the kid, but the driver involved and the lack of street lighting and/or a crossing guard at the school.

Do people up there put aluminum foil on their bedroom windows to block out sun like they did in Alaska?

I had a blackout curtain on my window really the entire time I worked as a security guard because I mostly worked nights.

I'm surprised how much it faded out over that time

When I lived in London it was dusk at 10:30 pm in the summer which I loved. However, daylight came at 4:15 am along with the birds who liked to taunt me for hours until I reluctantly rolled out of bed.

I have no idea what time it is, very little concern what day it is, and as it stands, that is not too likely to improve...

Same for me. Sometimes I have to look at my watch or the computer to find out what day of the week it is. But that's the way I like it.

I bought this as a retirement present. I generally have a ballpark idea of what time it is. I only pay attention to the day if I have an appointment on them.

Since my stroke, the only thing I consider is whether I have to deal with people. Too many Adam Henry's in this world that can make stress in my life...
