I posted about this in a different thread last night. Currently I’m on mandatory standby in the yard waiting for the electric company to make north city safe enough for us to be deployed for gas pipeline repairs and restoration. It looks like I’ll be forced into working tomorrow too and the scope of our regular work for the foreseeable future has changed.

The worst neighborhoods in the most violent place in the country where I spent a decade working on infrastructure are now largely heaps of rubble. I’m having a hard time not thinking that’s a good thing. Other than the loss of life and misery of the sane portion of the population there.
