Which moa is good for up close work
As pointed out in your other thread, a 6 MOA or larger should be on a defensive pistol, IMHO.

Is just me I took the dot of my hellcat and was looking at it with the dot of it looks naked and ugly? With the dot on it looks sexy as hell
I don't have a Hellcat Pro. I have the micro instead. I think it looks perfectly fine and ugly with and without the optic. It's a dime a dozen polymer striker-fired utilitarian tool that will be concealed from myself and others the overwhelming majority of it's life. They all are ugly with the exception of some HK offerings. Besides, I have metal and wood revolvers and pistols on hand for when I want to carry and look at something pretty. Looks isn't something I care about when I buy a polymer carry/duty pistol.

The few dots i've seen/used were on other dudes guns at a range. I prefer small dots, i have light sensitive eyes so dot sizes can kind of washout the window around them.

The dots i used were centered at 25 yards (i was told) i didn't do any adjusting and all dots were set to co-witness and with the gun's sights so i had no concerns about trying to guess where the pewer was aimed. And and i holed/hit the targets only my aiming missed the target or zone on the target. Co-witness is my thing if a dot gets in my hands and a green one prefered they're not as "bright" as a red and they are the cool color to have and post about online...

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder ;). I think they look fine. To me, it's just a tool on my self defense tool. Some of my ECD guns have them, some don't. I like to train both ways. 😎

I've never heard of fixed sights failing in a self defense situation. To each his own to do with your firearm as you wish, but practice like your life depends on it. On the range, no harm no foul. On a self defense carry gun, I look at the 'dot' as a crutch. Imagine your reaction if a 'dot' malfunctions at the worst time of your life.
