well to be fair and honest, i have mentioned that i also have the Lee Pro 4000...at times, its a PITA as seemingly, i have to check all adjustments after a mere few weeks of it sitting.I've had my 550b since the mid 90's, it has loaded 10's of thousands of rounds. I've had one small part break and I do not remember what it was, it was some time in the mid 2000's. I called Dillon and tried to order one and was Denied.The guy on the phone told me that they would send one for free and asked that I pay for shipping, I had no problem with that. I remember getting several of the part that had broke. Along with that they sent a maintenance kit that had all kinds of small parts that were generally known to wear out. I remember the guy sent a note in my order that said, since you paid for shipping the least I could do was make it worth your shipping money with a smiling face. I really like the fact that he took time to personalize it.
Chances are I'll never use any other loading machine besides a Dillon.
i do have many tool heads, dies, shell plates and powder drops for the Dillon, and can switch over any time for the caliber(s) i use, such as 9mm, 38 special, 357 mag, 45 Colt LC, and of course 45 ACP..i also have 10/40mm dies as well, i just don't own those guns.
i just have to change out the powder rod each time, then of course dial that in. then the primer tubes, and of course the shell plates, which all that takes time..maybe a few seconds for you, but many minutes for me
as for the 38 special, 357 mag, and 45 Colt LC..??? i don't even need any reloads of those, yet, as i just do not shoot them as much as the 9 and 45 ACP's
so why do i still use the Lee (its only for 9mm)...???
i'm insane.
