ding dong challenge meets sheriff deputies

these "challenges" get their start from social media.

if social media were to be stopped, this might put an end to it as well.

otherwise, i can see the day when someone does get killed, for what could be construed as a home invasion.

i'd have them arrested for attempted home invasion, or burglary...

let thier lawyers and the prosecutor's office hash it out, and then too...PAY for any and all damages to the door, the door jamb, and the locks...

Sheer stupidity. You kick in Anybody’s door you deserve to be shot, period. The people inside have no idea if it’s a stupid kid or a thug intent on killing them. Any remember some of the “youths” may be physically a full size adult. Sorry, but if someone does this and gets smoked it’s nobody’s fault but their own. I don’t want to hear “ innocent kids playing a prank”. Said it before, not enough chlorine in the gene pool….

If the social media were stopped you would still have jackassery.
Teach kids ownership and accountability. To many of these idiots get away with to much at a young age and no one holds them accountable.
True…but the advent of TikTok has accelerated the stupidity. Remember the TT Tide Pid challenge, and those that follow. In a China is an educational channel, here, anything but!

There's a lot to unpack here.

We don't live in a town. Really, that's our first line of defense. People that live out here know everyone out here has guns and from what I've seen people don't mess with one another.

This is our second line of defense. We have one on each door. You're not going to just kick down our door.

Our first line of defense is also a drawback.

As I said we don't live in a town, that means we dont have a local Police Department.

We have coverage from the County Sheriff's Department but they might be 50 miles away covering another call.

So, as I've mentioned several times previously, I put on my gun when I put on my pants and when I switch to my PJs the gun goes on the coffee table.

FAFO is my motto. There’s enough dogs in town that are a warning sign then the dog at home is another. I’m not far from a firearm if it’s getting serious. Personally my 72 year old mother’s life has priority (I can take a beating for a 47 year old, 6’ out of shape guy). I grew up in the burbs of Chicago and went through Chicago enough to have an opportunity to learn a thing or two.

There are some minors that can be taught and get you to believe so. Then there's the pure idiots whether their parents try their best with no good results. Staying on top is still key! Knowing who they hang with is helpful! Shows these kids don't stay busy enough to stay out of trouble! City kids in most part have more time on their hands than farm or ranch kids. No slacking off when they take their 1st steps or start talking on a straight and narrow path!

It's easy to blame the parents, I do also, BUT remember if you correct your child too harshly, an ever-moving definition, then DHHS is going to be all over you like stink on ......... meanwhile the next town over some eight year old girl is being burned with cigarettes, made to drink chem. from under the sink, starved, and eventually beaten to death by step daddy while her teachers and mom never knew. As a society we are too tolerant of deviant behavior. "Everything is cool, let it all hang out, y b normal, what is normal," I guess isn't so :censored: funny now is it?

I whole heartedly agree with this. Your weapons not gonna help you in a home invasion if it's in a safe or the shotty's behind a door. People think it's weird to carry at home I think it's common sense
