Do You Have the Right Flashlight Skills?

I always have a light in my pocket , any time l'm dressed .
I still carry a small flashlight with me. The logic (?) behind this, think about you see a cool pistol or rifle for sale at the gun show and you want to check out the bore, and you have the light to do so. Or, heaven forbid, you're at the mall shopping with your wife and there's an outage and you can't see the exit door, but you have the light to lead the way. That's why I carry a light.....

Never say never , but not aware of any shooting techniques using an iPhone flash .
On a blinding sunny day, try finding something you've dropped in your truck cab around your seat. An Iphone light comes in handy for that kinda' stuff.

I try not to go out much after dark-thirty, so I'm less likely to try and employ WML "techniques."

If it goes bump outside and ain't trying to get inside, a quick call to 911 may be the first order of bid-ness.

Oh absolutely , seeing in the dark / shadows is frequent in everyday life . I even used this recently to find stuff dropped next to truck seat .

I’m not a fan, esp on EDC. The thought of flagging folks is not something I care to do. Much prefer a handheld light. That said, I DO have a light on my 1301 Berretta. If somebody’s moving around in my house at night they definitely are a bad guy-‘causes there’s just me and the wife here 99% of the time.(the other times it’s my Son (retired Marine) and DIL or Granddaughter and her husband (also a former Marine and now a deputy Sheriff.

I've got two Surefire lights. Can't remember the model names. One just slightly larger than a AA battery, 3 light levels, very bright for its size. The other small car key fob size/shape, rechargeable, on a solid ring on a carabiner on my belt along with actual truck fob, also 3 light levels, also very bright. Discontinued. Both excellent but that's all Surefire does. Never wanting for light.
