Uh, how about we enforce red flag laws already on the books before going after a whole group of people that are statistically .000000001% of gun owners? And who gets to decide which people get to have guns? I've got extensive experience and training dealing with acute and chronic mentally ill people. We need Red Flag Laws to be enforced. Full Stop.

Past that, laws really don't matter in the long run. Bad guys really don't go along with them and they only affect the law abiding. This proposal is nothing more than yet another attack on a marginalized group disguised as "doing something" about a problem that literally is non-existent.

Mental evaluations are protected by doctor patient confidentiality - unless they are determined to be unsafe to self or others. Regardless of what people think about gender identification, this is a chip out of the 2A and is part of a steady erosion of the Constitution. One say weā€™ll all wake up and for one reason, or the other be the problem. None of us should be supporting this.

For all the internet psychologists - gender dysphoria is a mental illness, being transgender is not. They are separate things.

Kind of like Glocks and all other polymer handguns.

The 14th was never constitutionally ratified, so the man can use it any which way they choose.
Here is washingrad they have what is called an inter-police department jurisdiction.
Which means ANY police dept inside a county has ZERO jurisdiction and can go where ever they want.
So in Olympia you have cops from every town around to include tribal police giving out tickets on Friday and Saturday. nights. This is a misuse of the 14th because it was never ratified properly.

Now to the OPs thread. Shall Not Be Infringed means every American get to buy one, ONCE.
If they misuse this right, then they get shot down in the gutter like the commie that kilt my fiend Jay in Portland.

Then a good guy get to find them and gun them down like the dogs they are.
Even the mental patients get some, until they use one for evil, and get what they deserve.
 
I'm not so sure I'd agree with banning a small specific group of Americans from gun possession/ownership, who haven't (yet?) committed a crime. I doubt that neither (r) or (d) could agree that sexual orientation alone should be a crime, nor enough to place a trans on a prohibited firearms possessor list. Once potential criminal intent is established, different story. A mental health professional's evaluation isn't perfect especially when they rely so heavily on psychotic drugs. If guns are denied there are other readily accessible weapons to do harm. Institutionalization would seem to be the safest solution.

Not all trans are criminals (yet) who plan to commit mass murder. I don't have a solution. Enforcement would be a nightmare.
