Dress Code

And you "Pete". Just go back to submitting articles to Soldier of Fortune magazine. I'm already going over my blood pressure limit thinking about all the BS you post. You two posers aren't worth writing anything more about. Rant over.
Im really sorry you feel that way. Boy I wish I had written for SOF. By all account Bob Brown and Dale Dye were/are good guys.

As for your blood pressure, hmmm? If what I said really does raise you BP, perhaps that means some of what I said made an impression. You dont have to like it or to follow it; but it was earned with a lot of sweat, a few stitches and a couple bad knees....but at least my BP is under control.

I come here for comradery, not group think. Differences of opinion are how we learn about other options. It does seem a bit concerning when a thread about how people dress can be this divisive and with so much anger.

Best

Well, considering all those who dont look the part or wear upscale clothes were labeled as bums, I would say you two came off as devicive

Brother I never labeled anyone as a bum. I might have said if you look like a bum, you will be treated like one

How many times do I have to say you can dress however you like AND how many times do I have to explain how you dress is an indicator real or not to the people that see you but still and indicator of who you seem to be

You want divisive, OK how'bout I say it in a couple other languages or maybe just spell it right.

Please this doesnt have to be ugly Maybe its time to end this thread?

You have a longer fuse than I do Pieter. This thread has made me realize I am preaching to the wrong choir. This forum is dominated by older men, many of which don't even seem to carry a serious defensive firearm. I am thinking they are not receptive to learning and offer even less in terms of constructive advice. My time is better spent on other forums I am afraid.
Don’t let the door hit you in your sartorial splendor on the way out, Grandad.

This whole little give and take has made for very interesting banter. The serious weapon thing is what puzzles me. I will not be acting with a duty to protect so I won't leave the house dressed like John Wick but for those that do,that's fine. I protect 2A rights by simply not acting a damn fool and support 2A rights daily through conversation, helping others and donations. To me the choice to daily carry a gun in public is the serious part. The type, number, magazines, caliber are individual decisions. I feel the people here have the common sense to dress for the occasion and not all occasions are the same. I have never felt my appearance created a hardship but occasionally thought others might be wondering how in the Hell I got in the room.

Common sense just entered the room.

Whew! Sure glad I carry a serious 1911, serious .45 acp, serious 230 grain Critical Duty, two serious spare magazines, with 42 years serious LEO experience, and serious weekly range practice. I wouldn't want anyone to think I am not a serious guy. Now, back to my UFO alien invader defense preparations.
