Drought

Belt Fed

Emissary
Any of you experiencing this? i have never seen it this dry. we have been under a burn ban for three months. lakes are going dry. the weather guy said we would need 25 inches of rain just to get out of the drought. it's like we have turned into the desert. it's cooled off some but still above normal on temps. duck hunters are gonna be pissed if it don't start raining. there is no swamps or ponds for ducks to come too.

Sorry to hear. Where I live we are 3/4" ahead of average (34" so far) in southern Wisconsin. Soybeans are near record yields and corn generally has lower yields from too much water. I sell well pumps for a living, and nothing sells more pumps than a drought. I could use a little less rain...helps my income.

Our problem here in the southern section of AZ is poor management. There is no reason to allow the flow of water to just go down the river beds. We could install inflatable dams, as Tempe has done, creating recreational areas as well as the flood control... Just one idea...
well...of course you know

once that money starts rolling in for such a project...

the as always "dirty" people will have their hands out for all of it.

yes we are now a tick below 6 feet low on the lake
last rain we got from the BIG one last so called storm was 1.88 inches
but other parts of our county received over 8.00. they are south of lake fork so it all drained into river headed south or evaporated
its ugly
we are just south of sulfur springs texas
