Echelon 4.0 C Comp with Manual Safety

I have a question for Springfield - I have been waiting over 2 years for hellcat pro comp with thumb safety to be added, they have it seperate but not together. Now I would also like the Echelon 4.0C comp to have a thumb safety. I own an echelon 4.5 full size - would love the 4.0 comp with thumb safety for EDC. Why do we need to wait so long for these major combinations??

Personally not to attack SA but it’s the company that is making the firearms. It would be nice to see someone else besides S&W doing it. I was talking to a friend about the whole magazine issue for Illinois on some of the XD line up and told him straight up “I’d be a XD fanboy if it wasn’t for the magazine issue”. Yes I have stuck with M&P because they have the magazine compliance for Illinois for which is hard to find for the XDM elite 10MM.

Why does anyone want a thumb safety on a polymer pistol that has a blade trigger safety, just wondering….🤔🤔

Yea, but the real safety you should concentrate on is keep your finger off any trigger …..

While thumb safety is a personal decision. It can be an additional protection guarding against clothing interference while holstering, again accidents happen that are not finger related.

Oh I agree if you like/want a manual safety on your polymer gun, me personally, I think there not needed but it’s an individuals decision, I was just asking, I didn’t mean anything, I also never carry appendix style, I choose OWB carry method or once in a blue moon I’ll do IWB with my Kimber Micro 9

All good - I wish I could carry OWB - never happen in the BS state I live in - constant aggravation.
