Echelon 4.5 threaded barrel?

Hi, new to the forum, and new gun owner. I recently purchased the full size Echelon 4.5, non-threaded. I wanted to get the threaded barrel, but my local store had one of the promotional packages with the sight and extra mags, and I was quick to jump on it after test firing so many different models; I figured I'd just buy the separate drop-in threaded barrel after getting used to the gun. Anyways, after several hundred rounds, I already know I'd like to add the threaded barrel so as to add a compensator or silencer, but searching online has rendered nothing. I see that the stand-alone threaded barrel is "out of stock" everywhere, including on the SA website.

So, my question to the people of this forum is; what sort of delays should I expect with the threaded barrel being out of stock? Has it been that way for a while? Is it something that is restocked often? Just curious how much I should get my hopes up that I'll have a threaded barrel anytime soon?

Your likely better off getting an aftermarket barrel.

I was starting to think that myself, but I haven't had any luck finding aftermarket barrels for the Echelon; both third party or resale of the OEM threaded barrel. Do you know of any specific vendors? Admittedly, I'm new enough that I may not know where to simply look, but thus far Google has not led me anywhere helpful, and I've ventured several pages into the search results with no success.

FYI ... Since your new to handguns I hope you know that your stock barrel is 4.5". Most of the SA threaded barrels run 0.7" longer. So if you look for a 3rd party barrel you'll be looking for a 5.2" threaded barrel to fit the full size Echelon.

there is the 4" model also, so 4.5-4.65 should be the threaded versions depending on which threads is chosen. note: depending on maker there's 2 thread options...........comp/brake & suppressor. not even sure why there's a difference?
 
There is an aftermarket shop that makes barrels for the full-size but If I remember correctly, they only make the standard barrel, not the threaded version. I'll look to see if I can find the site.
Edit: Fdez Werx sells aftermarket barrels but they are colored, not threaded.
