EDC without your primary shooting hand

This was visited several years ago jn the Rangemaster instructor community

The issue of hand/arm/shoulder injury/surgery is much more the reason one will need theor off hand tjan that whole “you’ll get shot in the arm” stuff. You need to do more than say 6 rounds in any qual course a year to stay on top of it as the week your recovering isn’t the time to play catch up!

I tore up my right shoulder about 20 years ago. Bought a left hand holster and spent a little over a week learning how to shoot left handed.
I still practice shooting left handed every do often.

Being the cheap (hold onto a penny till Lincon screams) sob that I am, I just move the holster to the left side, butt forward. Then it's a Don Hume JIT so no straps, buttons, push/cant/pull retention. Yes I do practice this, just like almost all my shooting is done one handed. I expect my other hand to be occupied opening doors, pushing crap out of the way, dragging the Mrs along, as we vacate the A.O. Then I'm lucky, traveling to the "range" means walking out the back door and standing on the back porch. Just don't use mothers' clothes pins hanging on the line for targets. Some people have NO sense of humor.
