Emergency Money

I keep $100 billion for those emergency fuel situation. Also always carry 2 cards. Both with a High limit. I traveled for work 60-75% of the time and I’ve had one card “fail”, so having a backup is very important. I do not carry a balance on any card-ever. If you can’t afford to pay for it don’t buy it. Nobody needs something bad enough to pay 20+% extra in interest.

I have a paltry sum in my daily pistol lock box, right next to a pistol. I keep whatever wad I am carrying out of the public eye.

Years ago I worked a case where an armed robber staked out ATM's on weekends. So we staked out the ATM's waiting for him to show up and we caught him. The arrest was a great place for an 870 and a Dirty Harry class speech. Turns out the guy was financing his venture with a side chick and was using a replica gun. Most of the ATM robberies I can recall involved victims who looked like victims.

Hi,

I've heard it said that, "Money talks."

Well, I know that's true.

All my money says, "Goodbye!"

When we're traveling we'll grab a few hundred for walking around money. But we're not in the habit of keeping a large sum in the house. We stay stocked up with other stuff so that we can get by for a few weeks, at least, should the need arise. Let's be careful out there.

Thank you for your indulgence,

Yep, I have trouble hanging on to it. A lot of mine goes out through the end of a gun barrel. Or feed and vet bills.

Have Gold, Silver plus Cash at home.
As well as Steel, Brass and Lead.
Always keep at least $150-200 cash on me, more when traveling.

Seeing more places offering discounts for cash, especially restaurants
