testtest

EMP .40 Contour

Headed to the range tonight to shoot a bullseye match I'll test fire during practice session anxious to see how it functions and accuracy.
I checked barrel lock up it's very good I'm impressed with the fit of barrel and slide to frame is very tight I'm thinking they might have hand fit these before finish.

Well the pistol is on its way back to S.A. for a new rear sight. I also was getting occasional light primer strikes so they are going to do some additional testing and probably replace the main spring.
I had to put the factory internals back in it so I mentioned the trigger is horrible it has a ton of creep and mushy I always save factory parts I don't want my extreme engineering parts discarded.

Just got notice it's going to be here Monday it looks like besides changing the rear sight they changed the firing pin and the main spring it says to a 28lb "wow" I hope they did a trigger job on it like I asked. I guess they had some issues test firing or they wouldn't have changed all the parts.
They have been very good to deal with even apologizing for the troubles.

Got the EMP back today I have not shot it but they changed the rear sight and sent a 10 yard test target it's spot on.
Changed the main spring to a 28lb changed the firing pin due to light primer strikes.
The rear sight was a 20 dollar upcharge they waived.
I also put a little note in the box saying the trigger has a lot of spongey creep and I got back a crisp 3-1/4lb trigger I'm a trigger snob and I like it enough to not mess with it.
So big shout out to Springfield Armory for the excellent customer service !!!

Yeah me too thanks not a cheap little pistol I might leave this one in the truck for my work week I have a cheap kel Tek .22 in there but I always think I may need a little more power to and from work ?
