Exact Mid Year

You were a little more critical than I was when my wife said I could select our wedding day 58 years ago today. Well I thought about it awhile, then settled on June 30. I figured that was close enough to half the year and it would make it easier to remember the anniversary dates as they came along. At least that's what I told her ... and she got a kick out of it. Actually, what I didn't tell her was that June 30th of the year doesn't interfere with any regular open hunting season ever for as long as we were a couple. Yeh, uh-huh, my mama didn't raise no fool here!

When we were deciding on a Saturday wedding day I suggested 3/21.
She agreed and we did it.
Later I told her it was easier for me to remember- 321 😊

The first year we were married I got my new wife a nice birthday present. I gave it to her on her birthday and she threw it back to me with a "Wrong Date Dummy!" look. Oh, yeah, today was my former girlfriend that she can't stand.

I never made that mistake again since her birthday is an easy one to remember 5/11/55 (or 5x11=55).

I got married the week end of opening dates of dove season in Texas.
Did not think that thru when she picked a date that worked for us.
Damn it !! No opener for 26 yrs now 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

I was lucky that someone gave us a custom cutting board with our wedding date engraved into it. Any time I have to fill out online forms that ask for my date of marriage, all I have to do is walk into the kitchen and look at the cutting board.
We got engaged on 9/4 and married one year later on 9/2
We both missed it one year and said on 9/4 lets go to our favorite restuarant.
Parents called to wish us happy anniversary on 9/2. I said , “dad its in 2 days”. He said no son, its today.you forgot. Wife is going to be mad !!🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️😬😬
Thank god the wife had it wrong also and she missed it as well. Stroke of luck 🥴🥴☝️☝️i never bring that up to her though. I value my life

Another great idea form a wise man. All you younger and single men have just been given a world of very valuable knowledge. Pay attention and learn! :)(y)
