Fed gov backs challenge to Ar-15 bans

Bear with me, i always questioned the Feds on gbis but why I do. I live in Indiana and they passed a state supremacy statute. The good thing is South Bend had a city law for years that no “hi cap” (standard cap to me) mags xoukd be sent. Since Indiana has no such state restriction when the state supremacy law was passed South Bend had to pound sand.

My point Is I get states rights however I also don’t understand if there is no federal law against a mag capacity or an AR 15 why states that make draconian laws can’t be told to pound sand under the supremacy clause.

Am I off base here?

How many of us average Joe's can afford the legal fees and criminal prosecution that the state will bring to bear? The gubmint has unlimited resources when it comes to this, state and federal. This is what they count on. Look at what happened to Tate Adamiak.

While yes true that’s not what I said, Whem I referred to the supremacy clause it can be used to hold cities and states in check.

I am just baffled that it has taken so many years for the USSC to even toy with making a ruling, when there are more WR 15’s in the US than Ford F 150 it definitely passes that common usage verbiage. So why states are allowed to impose restrictions not sure why it doesn’t constitute something on any supremacy clause. And I used my state as an example of them nullified the city ban that the state doesnt have

Your neighbor Illinois here. I honestly wish the anti 2A stuff would stop flowing here. Every state around my state has no restrictions but here I am.
