W/o getting into detail, good or not so much, are many reasons some things are done and not.

I was affected by the huge data breach of the federal personnel system (OPM). All of my personal data and wife's, kid's (SF-86) ended up... probably in China. I wasn't even working for them, just applied for clearance for my job.

Makes one wonder if these things are done on purpose sometimes. I would think we as citizens want to trust our government but lately they haven’t showed much trustworthy decisions.
