Federal rebate scam

Blackmesa96

Custom
Around Black Friday last year Federal trumpeted numerous rebates on various ammunition packages. We purchased the allowable amounts and did all the silly crap they asked for to claim the rebate. Should have been around $60.

Fast forward about three months and the rebate arrived--$15. No explanation for the reduction, just a take it and be grateful we didn't screw you for the entire amount.

The money isn't going to seriously impact us, just like that $45 isn't going to keep Kinetic Group from bankruptcy (I think).

I hope it serves them well, because it's the last penny we will EVER spend on one of their products. This type of chicken bleep behavior tells everyone who notices it what they truly think of their customers.

FYI, among the ammo brands this company controls are CCI, Fiocchi, Speer and Remington.

Something to consider when spending your hard earned money.

They have no idea how much Blazer we have purchased and sent downrange. No longer.

So Federal, CCI, Fiocchi, Speer and Remington are all on the blacklist. Who does that leave that's acceptable to buy and isn't thought to be junk?

Reckon it depends on how one defines junk. We've had no problems with Aguila, S&B, Norman or (gasp!) Winchester among the less expensive FMJ options. Our Glock 42 loves Winchester .380. None of our many 9mm pistols seem to care what you feed them (Glock, Canik, S&W, Springfield, IWI, Ruger).

The only one among those brands I personally will miss is Blazer 9mm. It's the one most commonly found on sale around these parts.

We don't buy CCI .22 as our pistols all run the Aguila Super 40 grain without issues (Glock, S&W, Browning, Walther) and it's half the price.

So that leaves...Armscor?

I'm the type of person that will point out that they gave me too much change back or take an Item that didn't get scanned back into the store so they can scan it and I pay for it. DON'T tell me as a company you will do something and not, or worse still half a** it and blow smoke up my backside. That really rubs my fur the wrong way!

Guess I didn't know Fiocchi was theirs too.
Last month I got in 4 cases of Fiocchi 9mm.

Winchester must be the only outlier of domestic production.
I will only buy their NATO marked ammo.

like to get my fingers back into some geco or s&b at a reasonable price.

But that sucks that they stiffed you on their own rebate op.

Beretta did something similar to me where they offering a rebate around $150 if you bought a Bobcat pistol. I ended up buying two Bobcats weeks apart and submitted separate rebates. One rebate came in but the other one never arrived. Customer service was no help either.

1 of possible 2 reasons..

1) limited to 1 purchase only

2) they never got the 2nd submission.

for rebates under $10, i fill out everything, and make copies, then mail it in.

for rebates $25 and more...??

i fill out everything, take copies, then mail by Certified mail, with return receipt.

no arguing with me when i can prove someone at the mail center signed that return receipt.......always get my refunds.

The rebate was done online and I got confirmation of the submission. I couldn't find anything that stated it was limited to one purchase.

that is odd...many times on rebates (for whatever product is offing) it is clearly stated....something like..."only 1 rebate per household or address"

my wife many times gets rebates from grocery items, clearly states the limits on the submission form..

i got a rebate on a tv from walmart, clearly stating only 1 per household.

The online rebate process was rather a chore and had many restrictions and many steps that had to be followed just so to qualify for the rebate, but I got my full Kinetic Group rebate card two weeks ago.
