FedEx found...??? my bullets from August....!!!!!!

I once had a shipment go missing. I don't recall which carrier was originally handling the shipment and which carrier I picked it up from. I was waiting for a delivery that never came. Much like @Old_Me, the seller sent a replacement order. Then one day I get a call from UPS saying they have a package for me that had been shipped via FedEx. (It may be the other way around as it was a long time ago and memory seems to be thinning these days). UPS said they had no idea as to how they came into posession of the package but I could pick it up from them. They got my phone number off of the shipping label. Till this very day I cannot imagine how the wrong company got the box or how it even got to the facility in the city where I live.

UPS does from time to time, pick-up or another shipper drops off to them.

many times i got things from UPS that were labeled USPS...it might be some sort of contractual agreement to intercept some packages.

as long as the shipping times are ON time, it doesn't bother me much.

but, as i later followed the tracking of my bullets, for the longest time, there was an "Exception" at the Newark, NJ center...

when the package arrived the other day, i went back to the tracking, and saw where the package was AT the NJ center for all that time, a full MONTH...!!

i dunno, maybe it was in the corner of the trailer, maybe it was close to quitting time for the dock workers, and they just left it there..??

maybe the trailer was "red tagged" for repairs and sat in the repair section all that time, until a repair was done..??

i just dunno.

i still have to count out the bullets, and get back to Everglades to inform them of any missing, before i pay for them.

as i mentioned earlier, i could have kept quiet about the package finally arriving, and just kept the bullets.

but to me, that's stealing, since Everglades "made good" on the missing package.

would it be nice for Everglades to just say.."keep them, you went thru hell worrying about everything"

sure it would be, but they are American made, at a small company in FL.

so, i'll do right by them too.
