Finally decided to join the IFA

After debating with which group to join and if I should. I decided to throw my hat into the Illinois Firearm Association. I kinda messed up but went with them and signed a few petitions with emails about our 2A stuff in Illinois.

I agree State specific is the first step. NGO has been doing the most work on the national level, they would be the next best step.

I should’ve done it as soon as I started shootin but the mental state of picking one was a little to much. I know I’m not a fan of the NRA but there’s plenty of other groups that fight on the state level.

Illinois is a state that explains itself quite well. I know I get cranky on people saying “just move” but I also know that the anti 2A crowd does too. I almost moved to Virginia and look at what is happening there. Look at Colorado, Washington, Oregon, and New Mexico. I know I’m ranting about things and I’ll stop there.

Join as many as you can afford except for the NRA. They're useless.

The NRA is under new management and trying to get better. But they still have a lot of WLP's old cronies on the board. I've been a member for over 40 years and am not happy with the current state of the organization. But they have some new blood now and are trying to make things better. We need to give them some time.
Like it or not, the NRA is the most well known organization and still the big boy on the block.
I'm a member of NRA, GOA, 2AF, CCRKBA and TFA.
