What I would like to see is a rifle very much like this in 30-06 or 7.62 NATO with the same iron sights used on the M1A. Keep it rugged and simple for those of us who don't want to use optics or want a quality rifle we can take to the field or spend an afternoon with grandchildren learning how to shoot. Most of us would be very happy with the box magazine and the other technology built into the rifle. I rarely have an opportunity to shoot targets out to half a kilometer, much less further, but the capability to do so is great. This is why I am saving to buy a CMP M1903A3 they are currently marketing. Give us traditionalists an option.
