First Look: Vortex Defender Enclosed Red Dot Sights

My lgs is trying to order some. I run a Vortex FFP 1-8 on my LWRC with the Defender XL at 12 o’clock I like their stuff. Watching reviews on YouTube. One of these may be going on my new AOS operator.
 
The Vortex Defender ST sounds like a good fit for my new Echelon 4.0c Comp except for one thing: it comes in red only. I'm really looking to try out green in the multi-reticle configuration and Holosun seems to be the only game in town at the moment. Also, I'm not completely sold on the enclosed emitter "fad." I can see the obvious advantages, but don't (yet) see a use case for me to jump on the enclosed bandwagon. C&H Precision is reported to be coming out with a green version of their multi-reticle pistol optic (I have the red one on our Walther PDP F-series and love it) so I may hold off until next month to see if it gets released as projected.
 
I’m still on the fence trying not to be the old school type. Yes I have 2 Holosun been used. I could get one for my HCP but not to interested.
 
I had the Holosun EPS Carry series but found I prefer some attributes of the Vortex enclosed better. Has anyone seen what screws are best fit for the Echelon line?
 
Yeah my next EDC optic will be an enclosed emitter. Mongo has big fingers no fun cleaning inside small screen. Mongo use Amazon cleaning kit for optics but enclosed is better to keep clean.
