I just picked up my first new gun in a good long time.
How long? The first number of that year was a 1. Yup, time flies.
My new gun is a SigSauer P365 XMacro Comp. I only had time to put 50-60 rounds thru it yesterday but I am delighted so far. Right out of the box the trigger is great. My last 9mm was the Beretta 92 FS Custom Carry so the Sig is a horse of a different color and that's a good thing. I shot a lot of skeet (early 80s Browning Citori 20GA) and local IPSC with my Colt Series 70 .45 way back in the last century. Though I'm pretty much retired I cannot imagine finding the time to shoot as much as I used to but I hope to get to the range regularly. We will see.
First comment about the P365. I cannot figure out why the factory mag springs are as stiff as they are. I do not see the point in that. The steel strikes me as unduly stiff and depending on the alloy used suggests the springs might go slack sooner than they should. Again, only time will tell but that leads me to my first post-gun buy. The Speed Beez loader is a little bulky but works perfectly. Totally worth the dough. I'm glad Sig supplies a simple loader but I won't be using it as long as I have the Speed Beez. Super clever design and made in the US.
Not sure how active I'll be here but I wanted to let you all know about my new P365.
Thanks for reading and cheers to everyone.
