I believe you are operating under a misconception my friend. I used to think I could recognize psych patients until the day I saw a dude in a 3 piece suit and tie, every hair in place, who I heard tell the doc that “the army had electrocuted him in Germany, they electrocuted him with electric trains”, later he was talking about the “voices that tell me I’m a dog and should sleep under the porch” and “the voices tell me to kill my Dad”. We were behind a door so he couldn’t see us, there in case he attacked the doc. That dude scared me more than the character with eyes like Bill the Cat who looked crazy as a bedbug, because this guy could be beside you and you’d NOT see the crazy. Be darn careful judging people on appearance., you will find appearances can be an illusion.

YES I was a cop and married to a phycologist. I saw quite a few folks with varying degrees of illness. Some where quite functional and some were scary crazy. Of the latter group, you just never knew when they were gonna go off.

I prefer concealed carry simply because I don't want to be "made" by some thug or fool wanting my weapon.. that would end poorly for all concerned, one way or another.
