Yep, think this thread has gone on way too long. Folks need to carry what they're comfortable with. Just my opinion.

Running out of bullets is not primary reason for extra mags. Mags are the major problem for malfunctions in pistols....

When driving I use a Falco holster & gun belt and I carry 1 xtra mag, but I'm working on a custom leather mag holder that will allow me to carry 4 mags comfortably under my t-shirt attached to the belt. When I'm riding my motorcycle, I use a Falco gun bag and I carry 5 mags in that plus a box of 50.
