Forest Fires? Not Forest Fires Literally that is......

Remember the joke: How did the duck get flat feet? From stomping out forest fires. How did the elephant get flat feet?
From stomping out burning ducks!
I'm one of the 60+million elephants in America and I'm tired of running around from state to state stomping out the
burning ducks. We run from NY to CA, back to VA then up to MI, then to FL and my state of SC. Then it repeats and adds
more of the 50 states.

We need the Federal government to step in and protect our Human Rights as set forth in the Constitution.
Goodness knows I dislike government intervention in anything but it's the only answer I see.

What do you think?

Isn’t the problem mainly that these forests haven’t been allowed to burn naturally?

Guess this problem will be self correcting...the only big issue is people who want to live someplace that’s going to be a fire hazard.

I kind of see that like people who want to live on a floodplain, or on a seashore that sees frequent hurricanes...

Wildfire suppression isn't in the Constitution, nor is it a Human Right.

People build homes in fire-prone areas & sites, due to ignorance and/or stupidity then expect Uncle Sugar to save their asses.

Spent most of my 35 yr career working with wildland fire in one way or another.

The Indians set them all the time besides Mom Nature, and nowadays people in many ways.

Many ecosystems west of the Mississippi need fire as an important factor in their existence due to the drier weather and fuel conditions. Not so much in the humid East, but can be seasonally specific in the upper Midwest and Southeast.

Hmmmmmmmm….. guess my point got lost in the joke....
I'm an Elephant (Conservative, Republican) fighting for 2A rights. I find myself through memberships in National and
Local organizations having to go from state to state putting out the 2A fires (burning ducks). The ones that the Democratic Socialist party gun grabbers set randomly in each of our 50 states. They keep us hopping from issue (duck) to issue.
We need the feds to step in and clarify that you can't deny RIGHTS!
As I said at the beginning, having the feds step in is a great dislike, but I see no other way.

Sorry about the confusion....wasn't intended..... just a comparison..... sort of.

Haha. I immediately understood what you were saying.

Just today the local pro 2A chapter filed an "Amicus Brief" along with the NRA pertaining to the governors actions closing gun shops and excluding them from state business loans. Closing ranges and shutting down training required for new permits.

Well to miss quote the shot heard around the world. If they mean to start a war let it begin here.March to the ballot box and fire these power hungry progessives, and make them earn a living off the sweat of their brows. Not our tax dollars. It must be angry rant day.

We have to support the LGS's nation wide. Online ordering is nice but where you going to pick up that firearm
if there is no LGS with the FFL????

I just rec'd my very first mail order of ammo four days ago. There is no ammo available locally. Rural King has no 9mm ball ammo, but does have some shotgun rounds. I don't own a shotgun, so no help there. Walmart no longer carries handgun nor "scarey rifle" ammo, but does have shotgun rounds. The local (45 miles away) Army base PX does not have any 9mm or "scarey rifle", but I was able to order some 9mm (brand not used before was available) online through the PX system. Only took 3 days from date ord'd to receiving it. I prefer to shop in-person at a store if truth be known.

The point is supporting the LGS..... 90% of what I want can't be purchased at my LGS because they can't afford to stock
everything a shooter/reloader needs. But I surely can check there first to see if they have it in stock. If they do I get instant gratification after a short drive! Remember too, your vote can help/hurt your LGS. Make sure the RIGHT people are elected.

Your last thought sez it all!
