For all kinds of reasons not worth going into, this article was a miss with me. Came across as a ‘filler’ write up; fluff intended to take up space and meet deadline.

maybe I missed the point but:
Number one thing is Getting Out, and back to civilization (or what passes for it these days, Lol). Not shelter-building skills or traps elaborate enough to actually sustain you.

Great article! It's crazy that this information isn't more widely spread. I've regularly go camping in the Canadian Rockies and I wouldn't dare kick of an adventure without some food in my pack
