The CZ DUTY represents the next generation of CZ striker-fired pistols, combining a serialized modular chassis, a refined trigger system, advanced ergonomics, and direct-mount optics-ready capability in a pistol engineered for serious use.

Safety was engineered into the CZ DUTY from the beginning. The pistol features a three-stage drop safety system and is also available with an ambidextrous manual safety, giving shooters multiple layers of confidence in handling and operation.

At launch, the Duty will be offered in four primary variants, with differences that are hummingbird subtle. All are 9mm, run a 4-inch barrel, use double-stack steel mags shared with the recently introduced Nocturne series, share the same optics-ready direct-mount pin system, three-dot sights, fully ambi controls (including the magazine release), and are engineered to be almost absolutely drop safe.

The differences are dimensional: the shorter (in height) Duty Carry has a longer grip to accommodate 17+1-round flush-fit magazines, while the Duty Compact runs 15+1-round mags. Both also have variants that ship with a manual safety lever installed. Further, there are sub-variants for those in restricted states "behind the lines" which ship with 10-round magazines.

At launch, the CZ Duty series costs $729 across the board, while the more traditional P-10 starts at $499 and is marketed as a solid budget alternative. By comparison, the MSRP on the Gen6 Glock 17 and 19 is $745, and those are far less modular.

While a sort of "super P-10" (it was referred to during development at one point as the "P-10 Phantom"), it isn't replacing the classic in the company's catalog, so don't worry about that.

The Duty series takes ergonomic cues from the optics-ready Nocturne P-09C/F series that was introduced in 2024. We’ve reviewed that creature of the night and found it to "Czech out."

For optics, the redesigned Optics-Ready system accepts red dots with several standard footprints without adapter plates: Trijicon RMR, Shield RMSc, Holosun K and Leupold DeltaPoint PRO.

The optic mounts directly to the slide with the included pin set. Dovetail-footprint optics such as the Aimpoint Acro, Colt Optics and Holosun HE509T need aftermarket adapter plates. The universal sights use a luminescent or tritium three-dot system, are optimized for red dots and give a lower-third co-witness.

The CZ Duty comes with a guarantee of a 50,000-round service life or 25,000 rounds of overpressure ammunition (DM51 loaded to 30% higher pressure), including a 10,000-round no-parts-change period.

25,000 rds over pressure. That still is an impressive number. When do the lgs get these?
Yes it is & I don't know any other manufacturer that has stated their models do the same.

I'd contact your local LGS, and check with Gunbroker since once things hit GB then new stuff is generally available.

I have two P-10Cs, one stock and one I substantially upgraded. The ergo are really nice & they shoot very well.

If I didn't have the two I'd seriously consider the CZ Duty.

I need to contact CZ-USA to see if the mags interchange with the P-10Cs since they look the same.

Canik tests to 50k with NATO loads

Canik may test to 50K (most maufacturers test the same) but does Canik say that you can regularly run overpressure ammo and that they'll warrently that amount as per CZ does in this model?
