The employee was knocked to the ground and began fighting over the gun with the intruder, who police identified as 23-year-old Joshua Hickey, eventually pulling out his own legally owned pistol and fired at his attacker three times, striking him twice.

I was based in Warner Robins for 15 months immediately following 9/11. It is the bedroom community for Robins AFB. I made some friends there and found the people to be very friendly and hospitable. The crime rate was relatively low. Folks living there felt pretty safe. I also noticed a pretty high percentage of folks there were hunters and shooters and I met a lot of folks who carried a firearm daily.
