GIrsan MC P35. Who else has one of these Hi-Power Mark III clones?

@Superzuki did you notice a big difference in the trigger after removing the magazine disconnect?
I've taken out the mag disconnect on several of my Hi-Powers. To be honest, it doesn't make much difference in the trigger pull at all. Maybe just a tiny bit smoother, but very little difference in pull weight. I think that's an over blown myth.
The real advantage to removing the disconnect is that it lets an empty magazine drop free when you hit the mag release. (y)

My original trigger was "notchy" like it was sliding over the spring coils. It seemed to be a bit lighter,
but the reset is still very light...

They DO seem like nice guns. Ive only handled them when they came into the shop. I think Id like them more if they didnt say GIRSAN on the slide. At least Rock Island had the good sense to make their "mark" small and easily covered.

I know that makes me a gun snob; but Im kinda proud of it
Well, Pieter, as the old saying goes, "form follows function". What matters to me is the accuracy and effectiveness of the tool. I would rather the tool be "subdued" in its looks. (I'm not into the "billboard" look). But I will live with what I have.

Youre certainly not wrong about function, especially if its a "need" item.

I guess it just a case of Id rather drive a BMW then a YUGO; but I can accept that a Yugo is better than walking especially when its raining. Honestly I have looked closely at several models from Girsan and thought they looked good.

I have one and greatly appreciate it. Thinking I was on a roll I purchased the Inglis knock off. What a mistake. Sent in because the thing won't go into battery. Sent a email that they might not be able to fix because MAC was starting their own repairs and parts aren't available. Lol. The MC p35 never fails to impress me.
