Glock Fail! ‘Unconvertible’ V-Series Already Defeated!

There’s a lot of folks laughing and complaining thinking Hkick waisted their time but what could be the small thing that saves it (and why theor legal department is probably smarter time most on some random gun forum)

The original “switch” is a simple drop in part, to use one in the Gen V if I’m not mistaken the new machined slides to be ground off?

If so, While sure anyone can run a grinder the fact it takes aomeone to purposely physically alter ak thjng to make it an automatic is the key.

I mean thwre was generally more wirk than a drop in part with say an AK or AR the way they were machined jnsode the frame for Civilian sales were different tjan the Military.

While not seeming like a big difference putting it where the effort (even grinding tabs off the user is actually altering said firearm)

I stand by my statement. Glock should have told Calf. to go pee up a rope.
A co-worker used to call this The Chicken Theory. The farmer goes out throws some feed around gathers the eggs and spends the rest of his day working hard to make a living. The chicken eats the feed and spends the rest of the day with nothing better to do than think where it can hide its egg so the farmer doesn't find it the next day.

Technically it could be any semiautomatic firearm. It’s the general concept or fatal flaw of semi automatic. I will even ask, has anyone ever had a full automatic 1911?

A few cases with a parts breakage, I even know a USpSA guy in the 90’s whem s&w performance center 4006 were hit his has something break and went full auto S&W technicians were having a blast for several magazines but the repaired it and sent it back.

My point is I would say putting it that the user has to actually alter with tools (even a small as grinding the part) gives the company more legal protections tjan some contraband add on with only a YouTube video that tells them how to take the backplate off

Presuming the Gen V switch (if it’s even real) isn’t just a drop in.

I did on a Colt Gold Cup series 70, the 2-piece seat broke and gun went full auto……replaced the 2-piece sear with a regular government model sear, incident was eye opening experience

Yes I’m not a big Glock fanboy but I truthfully think Glock needs to stand its ground with the Anti-2A community. No matter what there will be someone tinkering with something and some don’t care if it’s legal or not. I honestly hope Rugar doesn’t bend the knee because we know now they will pick another company for the same issues

Well I learneded something new. Thank you
The older 1970’s Colt Gold Cups had a 2-piece sear, plus your actually shouldn’t shoot a steady diet of hardball through them, it excelerates wear to it. Mine was bought used, so when it broke I just replaced it with a regular sear.

I never heard about it.
Reasonably visually accurate replica of Full auto 1911 as recovered from Joe Gillis aka Baby Face Nelson .
