GLOCK’s New OEM 15-Round Magazines Big News for G43X, G48 & G44 Owners

I switched to the Shield Arms S15 mags when I had a Glock 43x and bought the metal magazine release. I hated that i had to shell out more money for the metal mag release. This is long overdue. I carried a 10rd magazine in the pistol with the S15 as a spare. I was never confident that shield Arms metal magazine mechanism wouldn't damage the polymer Glock magazine.

‘Splain to me why folks want a tiny gun then add crap to make it bigger….i thought the reason for subcompacts was easier concealability😏. If you take a ‘lil gun, add an extended mag (and an optic😳) why not just get a real gun to start with. If it’s bulky I at least want a longer barrel and increased shoot ability (and a caliber that starts with 4)

Well capacity is oversold so people (a lot anyway) want it both ways.

For me the 43X and 48 were great woth 10 round mags and 50 state legal.

That said at least they have an OEM 15 rounds for this folks that want them there are very few non OEM parts I trust on Glocks as in 30 years of matches and training most Flocks that go down it non OEM parts or YouTube gunsmithing

Both my wife's 43X and my 48 have been modified to use the Shield S15 mags.
Generally we use the S15s for range and training.
The 43X seemed a little "sensitive" with the shield mags and has demonstrated FFDs with enough frequency that she carries the Glock 10rd OEM in her CCW. So I like to try out the Glock OEM 15rd, see if it also exhibits the same issue.

But for now the Shiels are for practice, the OEM 10rd for carry.
