Did so 40 years ago. I grew up in deep southern Illinois-350 miles from Chicago. It was beautiful country with great people, but Chicago Dems had ran the state before I was born. Mayor Daly had far more say in state government than the governor ever had. You will note that as always this gun safety measure has absolutely nothing to do with preventing crime. You want to stop the BS? How about making the commission of a crime while armed a free trip to the electric hair-but no, that’d disenfranchise too many voters on one side…
