I'm surprised more companies haven't come on board to make a similar pistol. Let us know how you like it.Picked me up a new one this afternoon. Next week's weather is supposed to be warmer, so hoping to get to the range with it.

Thanks. I've called the store about 3 times this week, and they said they were going to start stocking them, and when I called today they said they had rec'd two this morning. Asked them to set one aside for me, and I made the 50 mile drive to get it. They said another guy was coming in today also to get the other one.I'm surprised more companies haven't come on board to make a similar pistol. Let us know how you like it.
Congrats on your new purchase!

I can’t speak to the ease of racking the 9, but I bought my dad an EZ .380 when they came out and it’s extremely easy to rack. We’ve put over 1000 rounds through it with none of the often reported malfunctions too. I put a Laserguard on it for him a couple months ago. He loves it.Interestingly, my LGS has had a few & I tried racking it at the store. I have both the S&W M&P 9 V1 & 2.0, and it didn’t seem that much different than those on racking. I didn’t do them side by side, and maybe after firing the EZ a few hundred rounds, the racking will even be easier. I plan on getting one eventually (before 10mmLife gets one that’s for sure), but there’s a few more higher up on my list before than. But like 10mmLife, congrats on the purchase Scott, and let us know how it shoots etc. Good luck with it

Thats why I never bought one because of the grip. Mod 2 I really like though. Let me know what you think of the EZ's texture. My Shield 2.0 is like coarse sandpaper. Thanks for the replies/comments. My current carry is the XDS9, and has that "washboard" grip as I call it. Great pistol, but have never been real keen on the grip texture..
The texture of the EZ grip provides "traction" (lack of a better description), but is subtle. I'd compare it to extra fine sandpaper. Maybe even dbl xtra fine.Thats why I never bought one because of the grip. Mod 2 I really like though. Let me know what you think of the EZ's texture. My Shield 2.0 is like coarse sandpaper.
It’s not at all like the 2.0. I gently knocked down the rough spots with some 800 grit sandpaper on my 2.0 Shield. It helped. I always wear wife beaters under my shirt which keeps the grip from rubbing on my side. I carry it in a combat cut Mini Tuck.Thats why I never bought one because of the grip. I always have a T-Shirt on as well so it doesn't rub my skin off. Taking it down with sandpaper is an interesting idea. I have a friend that put grip tape on his. It’s not at all like the 2.0. Thanks Scott. Let us know what happens in the warmer weather. The texture of the EZ grip provides "traction" (lack of a better description), but is subtle. I'd compare it to extra fine sandpaper. Maybe even dbl xtra fine.
The test I guess will be when the temps warm-up, middle of summer, and at the range with hands getting sweaty.
