Picked me up a new one this afternoon. Next week's weather is supposed to be warmer, so hoping to get to the range with it.

I'm surprised more companies haven't come on board to make a similar pistol. Let us know how you like it.

Congrats on your new purchase!
Thanks. I've called the store about 3 times this week, and they said they were going to start stocking them, and when I called today they said they had rec'd two this morning. Asked them to set one aside for me, and I made the 50 mile drive to get it. They said another guy was coming in today also to get the other one.

My wife has the 380EZ, and it's fun to shoot, so I thought I'd get the 9 version.

Now I need to get a holster. :)

Interestingly, my LGS has had a few & I tried racking it at the store. I have both the S&W M&P 9 V1 & 2.0, and it didn’t seem that much different than those on racking. I didn’t do them side by side, and maybe after firing the EZ a few hundred rounds, the racking will even be easier. I plan on getting one eventually (before 10mmLife gets one that’s for sure 😏), but there’s a few more higher up on my list before than. But like 10mmLife, congrats on the purchase Scott, and let us know how it shoots etc. Good luck with it 🙂

My not so local store here is pushing these yesterday and today touting a "S&W days event". The local rep from S&W will be there both days. I thought about taking a run up but the crowd will be out the door and around the corner. This is a little tiny store that moves an unbelievable amount of firearms. I'll have to stick with my Shield 2.0 for now.

Nice gun @ScottJ . I hope it serves you well! Congrats!

I can’t speak to the ease of racking the 9, but I bought my dad an EZ .380 when they came out and it’s extremely easy to rack. We’ve put over 1000 rounds through it with none of the often reported malfunctions too. I put a Laserguard on it for him a couple months ago. He loves it.

Thanks for the replies/comments. My current carry is the XDS9, and has that "washboard" grip as I call it. Great pistol, but have never been real keen on the grip texture. I know they changed the grip with the XDS Mod2, but I was looking for something different, and after using my wife's 380EZ, I was sold on the grip ergonomics and the subtle texturing.

Anyway, once I get some range time this coming week, I'll let y'all know how it does. My range time will still include the XD Mod2 and Edge. :)

With mitts like these, bet you have hard time racking any slide.......😂😂😂😂

Thats why I never bought one because of the grip. Mod 2 I really like though. Let me know what you think of the EZ's texture. My Shield 2.0 is like coarse sandpaper.

The texture of the EZ grip provides "traction" (lack of a better description), but is subtle. I'd compare it to extra fine sandpaper. Maybe even dbl xtra fine. :)

The test I guess will be when the temps warm-up, middle of summer, and at the range with hands getting sweaty.

It’s not at all like the 2.0. I gently knocked down the rough spots with some 800 grit sandpaper on my 2.0 Shield. It helped. I always wear wife beaters under my shirt which keeps the grip from rubbing on my side. I carry it in a combat cut Mini Tuck.

I always have a T-Shirt on as well so it doesn't rub my skin off. Taking it down with sandpaper is an interesting idea. I have a friend that put grip tape on his.

Thanks Scott. Let us know what happens in the warmer weather.

Made it to the range this morning for a couple of hours. Took the new EZ9, and the 13 yr old grandson had his Ruger 10/22. I ran some Remington UMC and S&B ammo (both 115 grain FMJ) through the pistol. The S&B (as I expected) ran better, as in "more accurate". Didn't run any scientific experiment with gadgets, just used the same grip, stance, etc. with both ammo brands at 10yds. Didn't take a pic of the UMC target hits, but they were low, as in below the 3" round orange stick-on targets I was using. 🤔

I only ran a total of 104 rounds total through the EZ9, around working with/ watching the grandson on his 10/22. He ran 140 rounds (bench rest) shooting paper at 10yds, and 8" steel at 65yds. Towards the end before we left, I put two 1" round orange stick-on targets up for him. Shooting bench rest again, at 10 yds, he put 9/10 in the first 1" sticker, then 10/10 in the second one.

All in all, I like the EZ9, and the white dot front sight is a change from the fiber optics I'm used to on my Springfields. The EZ has a longer barrel (around 1") than my XD Mod2 or XDS, and recoil is comparable to them. No technical difficulties (FTF/FTE) at all. My only problem right now is I need some more mags, so I spend less time reloading the two sgl stack mags that come with it. :)

3" stickers @10yds:
