“Did you go to Airborne just to pull security for ICE?” a billboard asks in Fayetteville, North Carolina. The billboard is one of two put up last week in North Carolina outside of two of the largest military bases, the Army’s Fort Bragg and the Marine Corps’ Camp Lejeune.

The signs are part of a campaign run led by veterans, About Face: Veterans Against The War and Win Without War,

It’s definitely food for thought, however, they work for the President. If he sends them to aid ICE, they go. I wasn’t in the US military, but I was in Canada’s military, and you you just don’t refuse to do your job because you don’t agree with the leader.
Are they trying to incite a revolt, or just trying to get troops to think? When I was in the military, we were to that we didn’t have an opinion. Period.
I find this interesting and worth following.

When you sign on the dotted line, you agree to their code of conduct, regulations and laws. Its not a democracy in the armed forces.
Dont like it, dont join.

This effort is trying to trigger some weak-minded/disgruntled person(s) to go off the deep end and do something, much like T. McVie and that Muslim officer that shot up/killed others at a TX base awhile back.

It's all about sowing discord within the ranks, especially since major changes are occurring now after the major changes that occurred during the POTUS 44 and 46 years.

My thoughts exactly.

I can't amagine what it would be like to be in the military and stationed in some far away land or on a ship some place and see on the news or get word from your family that one of them was hurt or killed or had their home or bussiness looted, or had their apartment building taken over by some gang etc. Then to think that the police would protect them and then the police do nothing. I'll bet theres more marines and national guard that are glad to help clean up some of these **** holes in this country.

"I, do solemnly swear that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice. So help me God." Enlisted Oath.
Makes no difference if it is jumping out of airplanes, picking up cigarette butts, or pulling security for ICE.
"The signs are part of a campaign run led by veterans", so what. I knew more than a few inmates that were veterans. John Kerry was a veteran, and threw his medals over the White House fence, or maybe someone else's, the story changes with the changing attitude the public has about veterans.  :censored: Being a veteran, the son of a veteran, the father and grandfather of veterans, JMHO being a veteran doesn't make you special, or your opinions anymore weighty. You willingly (except for those drafted) put on the uniform and served your country. Commendable, Thank you, however, that's it, except God Bless you.

SOMEBODY needs to enforce the law. If the LEO’s can’t/wont/are not allowed to then why not the armed forces? Any American citizen should be SAFE on our streets, and if that means an armed troop every hundred feet with shoot to kill orders so be it. I spent a lot of time in DC in the 90’s working in a building right across LaFayette Square from the White House. If you left work after 5:30 or so just walking back to your hotel could get pretty sketchy. In 2019 I was in Budapest in late November right after the Christmas markets had opened. Big crowds, but every block or so was a policeman in flack vest and with a slung sub gun. All were smiling and very friendly but it was Very obvious no BS would be tolerated. Felt safer there than in ANY American big city I’ve ever been to
