Springfield update, Chris and Dominick are awesome!! Definitely issue that they replaced and fixed. Now I can not get my gun back because FedEx is trash. Delivery driver lied first try - no knock, have blink door cam. Just stuck missed you note and bailed. After 40 minutes, not exaggerating, and fighting AI service I got a person. They were great and placed hold on package to deliver on specific date with confirmation email/voicemails. Service ignored and attempted delivery twice while I was gone, then shipped back to Springfield. Springfield again to the rescue, contacted me, got the information for my home gun dealer and are shipping to them. Apologies from FedEx, nope not a one. On the other hand Springfield apologized for them over and over and went out of the way to help me. So yeah, I went ahead and bought another Echelon from you guys because you rock and deserve it!!!
FedEx has done this to us more than once. I’m glad you finally got your issue fixed AND that you can FINALLY get your gun back. I know…SA customer service rocks. 🙂

Yikes!! The slide is binding on the ejector big time. That shouldn't be happening on a new gun (or a worn one either if properly fitted in the first place). Springfield needs to make it right.

On the up side, at least Springfield has returned to pinning the ejector like Saint JMB intended instead of just gluing them in place and then relying on the fact that most 1911s never get shot enough for it to come loose. To add insult to injury, they didn't even drill the receiver for the ejector pin and they refused to do so upon customer request after the gun was purchased and the "problem" was discovered.

Now we're still waiting on Springfield to perform a proper "bowtie" relief cut on the vertical impact surface (VIS) of their frames. Fortunately, they seem to do a fairly good job of keeping the rear of the lower barrel lug in even contact with the surface, but the relief cut would be preferable.
