Chipman has very little chance of getting confirmed due to his questionable past. IMO, progressives are only fighting so hard for Chipman because they never bothered to develop a second choice. Biden and his followers were so sure that every democrat would support anyone they put up there, that they never even considered how problematic Chipman was to many people in this country. The nomination would already have been pulled if the progressives had anyone else to put up in Chipman's place,

If Chipman doesn’t get confirmed, his replacement nominee will likely be as bad, albeit with less well known opinions & intentions.
Face it, “We the People” don’t count for much these days…
