Ok some interesting news from West Virginia State Police

Apparently WVSP just went from a Glock 17 to Shadow Systems as an issued sidearm. Colorado is the only other State Agency I know of running Shadow Systems.

Indiana State has ran Sig 227 45 acp (230 gr Gold Dot) since 2014 and Glock 21 45 acp 2010-2014)
And are supposedly going tj Sig 320 right now

NY State Glock just went to Glock 47 last year

What’s your states issued sidearm and duty ammo?

PA State police switched to the Walther PDP compact and F series, with Aimpoint Acro's

I work for state agency in PA we, unfortunately, are running Glock 45s with no reddots. We would like to go with dots, but we just got the Blocks a few years ago so I don't see them spending money to get them fitted for or get us new guns that are red dot ready. Out head trainer really likes the new ones that Glock came out with that have the Aimpoint or whatever they are, but I don't see them giving him the budget to get them for us

I assist at the state Acadamy here and our State police has been heavily involved with Sig’s since 2010 whem a guy named Carter was elected. Carter retired from ISP became a Sheriff and apparently liked Sig’s from the Sheriff office and was appointed ISP Superintendent in 2010 and Sig.

The Indiana Conservation Officers ran Sig 220 45 acp since the mid 1990’s until about 2/3 years ago they went with full size Sig 329 X and Sig Romeo Optics. The only good thing is theor duty ammo which is Hornady 135 plus P critical duty

ISP is suppose to do 320’s (after they issue out the new blue paint Durango’s and Mustang GTs they are do ing now) but there is a retired Indjana Trooper and retired Conservation officer taht wirk for SIG and apparently have some right friendships with the folks that pick the gear!

Good question. In Alabama the Troopers have been issued the G22 for eons….
Not sure if they still carry or not? I’ll have to ask.

All the locals transitioned back to 9mm years ago.
Alabama reportedly went to Gkick 17 and 45 in 9mm for at least the last 5 years I believe the only 49 cal agencies left are California 40 M&P SD 226 Sig’s and Illinois Glocl 22 but supposedly going to 9mm this year and Maryland did run Glock 22’s in 40. And the only 45 acp states left (as far as issued) Indjana Maine (HK45 LEM) and Bermint ran M&P 45’s at one time

Last I checked, Texas DPS carries the M18 with optics now, Texas Game Wardens moved from the Glock 17 to the Glock 45.
Texas just renewed a contract with Sig but went with the Sig M17 in Alr of this year
