I shoot dot only at the range when shooting steel. I often use the circle/circle with dot when carrying with an optic. I like practicing with the dot only at 10-15 yards on steel because I feel it enhances my presentation/dot acquisition. When I put the paper up at 3-7 yards the circle makes acquisition and hits, cakeSeems like a good optic. I'm kind of partial to the "circle-dot" reticle configuration available with Holosun, C&H Precision, etc. But if I was looking for a plain Jane dot, I'd consider this one.
