Hello All,

New to Hellcat firearms. Looking for a conceal carry, with thumb safety, and Pro Comp. I can't find one that has thumb safety with pro comp.
I am looking into the Hellcat Pro Comp OSP but it doesn't have thumb safety.

Like the Sigs that has manual conversion kit of thumb safety on their conceal carrys with comp.

Does Hellcat Pro have a conversion kit of thumb safety for their Pro Comp Hellcat firearms ?

Can i mix and put some parts together to make a hellcat pro with Pro comp and thumb safety?

I not sure if you can switch parts to make what you want, Springfield doesn’t sell gun parts so you more then likely would have to buy 2 guns to get the parts and not 100% sure there interchangeable

Also on the Hellcats, you can’t remove the chassis like on Sig’s

While not a pro comp, you might find the Hellcat RDP can get you very close when using 15 rd magazine. One advantage of going that route is then you have a removable compensator, a threaded barrel, and can try a suppressor if you want.

Also, RDP is available with manual safety.

Thank you. This does have most of the options i like. Only thing i would have to change is my training style as this is a short grip and i like that master grip while reloading but its just training that i would have to change.

I think you’ll find with the 13 round magazine you’ll feel right at home. It’s .3 difference between “flush” hellcat pro comp (15 rounds) and “extended” RDP (13 rounds) magazines. I’ve never shot a “pro” hellcat, but I have 860 rounds through my RDP (I originally bought the Hellcat OSP w/manual safety, then added the threaded barrel/compensator through the kit Springfield offers. I find my RDP easy to shoot, easy to follow up, and most importantly, easy to conceal and accurate. And I’ve yet to pinch my hand while reloading a different magazine.

Here’s my initial range feedback when I first added the RDP components to my Hellcat.

Unpopular opinion on an Springfield forum: You're better off going with a Shield Plus Carry Comp with the safety or the P365 platform. As pointed out, Springfield Arms doesn't like to sell spare parts or support their products like many other manufacturers do. Or, you can buy a standard Hellcat Pro with safety and the Hellcat Pro Comp, swap the slide, and keep the rest for spare parts.

Rant: If I had to do it all over again, I would have went with the P365 platform instead of the Hellcat as I like to fix minor issues myself and store enough spare parts to keep guns I really like running strong even if the manufacturer discontinues and stops supporting the platform. I don't want my primary opinion to be to have to contact CS, travel to ship the gun off, and wait to get it back. I rather go home and replace the part(s) myself. I've even had other manufacturers ship me the parts that needed to be replaced free of charge....

I unfortunately invested in the Hellcat by purchased the gun, bunch of mags, holsters, aftermarket trigger, etc. before I came aware of the company's policies.

There are plenty of parts available for the Hellcat if you’re inclined to do your own gun smithing. Here is just one example…
