Hellcat Pro: recommendations for compensator?

As the title suggests, I am considering a compensator for my Hellcat Pro with threaded barrel. So far, I've found the following in my web search:

the 2nd option would be my choice due to the spring-loaded locking mechanism. easy on, easy off! the 3rd option would be my 2nd choice. having many comps on handguns i can give many tips on what to and how to install better than the vids offer. just let me know.

does the barrel have the "cut" on the bottom side of the barrel? if so, i stick with my 1st choice and if not go with my 2nd choice as the spring-loaded locking mechanism won't help it stay in place.

For my Hellcat PRO I purchased the SA threaded barrel with the indexing slot when it was released.

Originally I bought the Herrington Arms comp (your #3 picture) since SA seemed to originally indicate their comp was only compatible with the original Hellcat. The lock screws and comp came loose everytime I used it.

I bought the SA self indexing comp (your #2 picture) after the website now said it was compatible with the Hellcat PRO. It has worked fine and is very easy and fast (no tools needed) on and off and never comes loose.

The SA comp would be my suggestion to you.

Now I'm waiting to see if SA releases a self indexing threaded barrel for my XD Mod.3!

Yes, my barrel has the notch on the bottom.

I have the SA comp on my Hellcat. Works as advertised. Easy off, easy on. I have no complaints.

Same here. I bought the Hellcat barrel/compensator kit from Springfield shortly after I bought my Hellcat OSP (so purchase discount - yay me!). I usually alternate range trips with it on and off (when I’m shooting the Hellcat). You can tell the difference and it is easy to put on/remove, AND clean.

There’s way too many personal factors to determine a “best”.

in a micro comp used in a sub or micro compact there's little to no difference on efficiency or recoil reduction. you would need a comp w/more ports. these were probably designed to still function w/factory ammo and NOT to change spring weight. until you reduce spring weight you WON'T know that it works more efficient. i'm not saying this is the case you'll have w/ this/these comps you asked about!

i only have 1 handgun that's labeled as a "compact" (s/w 4" mod2 10mm) and haven't tried a comp on it yet. i do have lots of comps for my semi's as they're only full-sized firearms. any questions about what works better or best on those i can answer and/or give recommendations.

you might not like the "flash" of a ported barrel, but they're the best way to go (depending on how it's ported). as long as the comp is titanium or aluminum most don't need a lighter spring unlike some steel designed comps. the extra weight of those will cause a delay for semi's to unlock which is why you'll need a 2-4# lighter spring. any comp question, i can answer them with knowledge.
