Hellcat Pro w/thumb safety

The Hellcat Pro with Manual Safety has been quietly discontinued by Springfield Armory.
I had been looking for another one since late last summer and finally just called Springfield Armory about two weeks ago. It’s confusing because it is on their website in a few places but not featured in the line up.
So, I asked the young lady and she said they had quietly discontinued it and that it only appeared in selective spots on the website because there were some still in circulation.
🙄
Why not just announce to your customer base a month or so before you pull the plug them, only leaving traces of it on your website without any mention of it being cancelled.
Not sure if this is how they handle Discontinuation of models but it’s half ar$$ed , lazy and kind of a crappy way to handle it for those that enjoy the brand.
Were the braced pistols ar and 308 handled in the same manner a few years ago?

I’m just not into a manual safety on any polymer pistol, that’s what the blade trigger is for, but lots of people prefer a manual safety.
I know there are preferences here for with and without a manual safety. I personally am for a manual safety though I do have some pistols without it.

I don't see any safety at all in the trigger blade safety. If something is gonna snag on or hit the trigger enough to fire a pistol it can just as easily be hitting the blade at the same time.

If the trigger blade safety is so good why haven't 1911's been designed and outfitted with one by now? What makes a hammer fired pistol need a manual safety when a striker fired pistol
doesn't?

As 1911 lovers say, you train with a manual safety. Why can't striker fire gun owners do the same?

Is there any scuttlebutt on the arrival of more Hellcat Pro’s with a thumb safety?
Back to the topic though ...

@everSearching, if you really want HC Pro with a manual safety you might go to you LGS (or a few of them) and ask them to search all their distributors to see if any of them have any left in their stock. I just did that with a recently discontinued Ruger I was looking for and my LGS found a bunch at Lipseys.

Good Luck with your search!
