Hellcat Triggers

I've shot a LOT of different guns. I'm a very long time competitive shooter (just joined the forum).

This week I received a pair of Hellcats in 9mm. By a very long shot, these have the worst triggers I've ever experienced. Way to heavy. A ton of rough creep. They have to go. Springfield, you need to do a LOT better. I probably have around a dozen Springfield guns. These are unusable from the factory.

Suggestions on replacement trigger groups? This is what I'm currently looking at: https://powderriverprecision.com/prp-trigger-upgrade-kit-for-hellcat-models/

Thanks in advance.

Welcome to the forum from the Wild Wild Upper Midwest. I have a PRP Extreme trigger replacing the lousy trigger in my XD45 Tactical. PRP and Apex are popular replacements around here. My other XD pistols, XDM Elite, and Echelons have pretty good factory triggers. But I might upgrade one or two of those if my XD45 works out. I have no Hellcats. Thanks for joining us.

Thank you for your indulgence,

BassCliff

Good to get some feedback on the PRP triggers. Thanks!

I recently dropped Apex Triggers in my Hellcat and Hellcat Pro

I went with the Overwatch Precision FLAX trigger kit. I comes with the trigger, an NP3ed sear and disconnector.
It was easy to install and uses the factory springs.
I also liked that it shortens the reach to the face of the trigger. Both the factory and the Apex were a little long for me.

This is what I needed to confirm :) So just this past Sunday morning, I brought my newest/latest addition (Hellcat Pro) to the range for its first 150+ rounds. I felt the same way as you. The other firearms we brought included the S&W Equalizer, my M&P9 2.0 C, and the XD-M Elite 4.5" 10mm. All of them have excellent triggers.

Anyway, the Apex upgrade arrives on 7/23, and I'm looking forward to returning asap. **Edit** My wife wanted to fire off a few mags as well Sunday morning and was more than happy to share. When she first aimed down range at the target - no bang -- she just put the firearm down and looked at me, thinking what's wrong with this trigger? I took that as a GREEN LIGHT and placed the order later that afternoon.

Just remember that the HCP isn’t really a SA product. SA is selling HS stuff under SA FFL.

Otherwise I didn’t really have any problems with mine when I had it but got rid of it because it was to small. It was definitely better than the Glock G43X I had.

Oh welcome to the forum
