HELP! Where can I find a M1A Socom 16 wood stock?

As per HGs post the SOCOM uses the same stock as the rest of the M1As.

You can do better than a Boyds. They're too fat.

Just go to Fulton

or Treeline.

Thanks, will these work with the SOCOM 16 ie., SOCOM TANKER?

As mentioned before the stock is the same on all M1A models, but the upper handguards are different. Is that what you're asking about or just the stock?

Whomever you're interested in buying from just ask them & they'll say the same.

Thanks for your help! Can I get the upper handguards that will fit or is that a custom thing?

There are two SOCOM models, one with the standard (to all models) upper handguard, and the one with the front pic rail & cut-out.

You can buy the standard stocked SOCOM if you don't want the pic rail set-up.

If you just want to swap out the stock I'd keep the pic rail set-up upper handguard to mount an optic.

I seen these, they don't look like they will work with the SOCOM 16?
They are well fielded with the M1A. It might be worth your time to call them and see what they have to offer. Or if they can find what you are looking for since they specialize in wood stocks for the M1A.
