Talk about some snobbish, condescending members. What’s sad is HK makes some great products, they’re not the standard but those zany diehards think so. I bought my first HK, a CC9. It’s a quality gun but I’ve had some nuisance FTEs, never with my Sigs or Springfields. Of course their first response was ammo or limp wristing, no way it was a gun issue, lol. Anyway, not discouraging anyone from buying a HK, just don’t expect any support from their forum especially if you don’t suck up to their perceived greatness.

As many of you know, I am a pretty big fan of HK’s products. Well, if you ever think that this forum is just too silly or there is too much goofing around, sign up for a membership at HK Pro. Apparently, the first thing they do after screening for a high degree of curmudgeoness is they then insert an HK stick up your backside and set you free within their forum. Somehow, my procedure did not take. There are some nice folks over there and some very smart ones too, but boy what a joyless bunch of fanboi enthusiasts. HKPro is not run by HK I don't think. There's also an HK site that sells parts for HKs that somehow is not actually related to HK.

HKParts…not affiliated with HK.

HKPro is not officially affiliated with HK (as in, HK doesn’t own it like Springfield owns this site), but…they’re pretty tight with them.

I hang around for some of the stuff for sale there (under another handle), but for the most part, stay out of the discussions.

Can’t remember the last time I posted anything there.

There's "self proclaimed know it all" types on every (fill in the blank) forum. People who reply with smart a** comment or complain or tout their knowledge about everything. I can't remember the gun and car forums I've quit, it's not worth the aggravation.

It's the same way at GlockTalk.com and SigTalk.com. They will ALWAYS blame the shooter, and will give the typical "mine never had a problem" canned response to invalidate your experience.

I've been a member of HKPro, GlockTalk, and SigTalk for years, and I never really had an issue. I just give it back as good as I get it without breaking forum rules. After the members get used to seeing you around and you become a regular, they aren't as condescending. When you start out of the rip complaining and comparing a product they're emotionally and financially invested in, they become offensive.
