i had an SA 35, among the first run, and just past the problematic built ones.

frankly, i was not really all that impressed by the gun, over say any of my CZ's.

not a bad gun over all, just not impressive in my opinion for me to even consider another one, even a fake one in 45 ACP.

Yeah, the light attachment seems bulky. It's it in your way?

I take it that mounting piece was meant for a different firearm, like a 1911 with no pic rail?

Does that WML work for you?

i just might actually buy 1 or 2 more 75 B's before the end of the year, might just store them away, or at least run a few rounds thru them first.

I forgot they are ending. I might look at the beginning of the year to get one. I maxed out what I was planning on getting this year plus some (damn Shadow 2 was planned for the beginning of the year)

No, an authentic Browning Hi-Power cannot be chambered in .45 ACP because the frame, slide, and barrel dimensions are too small and lack the structural steel required to handle the larger cartridge.

Why It Doesn't Fit
  1. Cartridge Size: The .45 ACP round is significantly longer and wider than the standard 9x19mm or .40 S&W rounds the Hi-Power was designed to use.
  2. Frame and Magazine Limits: Fitting a .45 ACP magazine would require a complete redesign of the grip frame's width and length.
  3. Barrel and Slide Strength: There is not enough steel in a standard Hi-Power slide or barrel to safely contain the pressures of a .45 ACP without substantially enlarging the entire mechanism.
Would need a larger "look-a-like" just like what Glock did with their G20/21/29/30.

CZ had to scale-up their 9mm 75 to accommodate the CZ 97 45 acp model, and EAA Witness has to scale up their 9mm look-a-likes for their 45 & 10mm larfe-frame models.

Hi,

All the pic rail adapter plates I can find on the interwebs are made for rifles. Where did you find one for a pistol? I think it's a clever idea, if you want to add a rail to a gun that doesn't have one. But, as has been mentioned, seems it could be bulky and get in your way. Does it work for you?

It works well. Apparently the vast majority of 1911s share the same trigger guard as a Hi-Power.
