Holster for edc

Maybe I should try an owb instead I have tried a couple inside waste ones and I just can find a comfortable position, feel like I am getting pinched, maybe loose the optics .. I am away from home right now and I honestly dont remember the brands.
Try a muddy river tactical orb. Leather, fits well and comfortable. And not expensive. Good folks to do business with. The only iwb I can wear (comfortably) is an Alien gear with the pad between the gun and you.

Welcome to the forum, JShep!

For me Personally, hybrid holsters work best. A lot depends on an individuals body type. When I carry OWB, it is almost impossible for me to not have the gun “printing,” usually pretty badly. Mostly, I carry a S&W 642 in a Mika pocket holster. It makes a bulge in my pocket, but I don’t believe many people notice. I am a lot more accurate with a slightly longer barreled semi auto, which I carry AIWB in a Crossbreed hybrid holster. The leather backing slightly folds around the end of the gun so I don’t get any body contact. The only thing I notice is sometimes when sitting, the edge of the leather has to be pulled out slightly and reseated to make it comfortable. Good luck with your search!

I personally carry IWB the majority of the time using Black Arch, MTR, Tucker Gunleather, or Crossbreed. All make IWB holsters for the Hellcat that are padded or leather against the body and don't pinch. The Muddy River is an excellent choice for OWB

AlienGear shapeshifter is a good holster. I use them for many guns

I really like the pad on them for high heat in the summer when you sweat

Thank you all for your advise , I just got home and I do have a we the people IWB, I will give a couple others a try. I only own 3 pistols I have always been a rifle guy, growing up hunting in Idaho, military background, just never had a need for a pistol, until the last 6 years or so I just want to be more proficient, carrying and comfortable too.

This set up works well for me. Kore Essentials ratchet style belt. Rachel styles allows for exact measurements for tightness or looseness unlike the traditional holes in a leather belt. You can also just hit the release when sitting down at a restaurant to give you
room and when you stand up just press in on the belt and to will adjust. Place the buckle to the 9 or 3 o’clock position so it doesn’t interfere with the appendix carry at the 12. Find whatever holster you like my go to is Hilliker, Tier One Concealed and Nerd. Buy a sticky pad from sticky holsters and Velcro it to the back of the holster where it rubs against your stomach/abs. Thank me later lol

For my Springfield Hellcat Vedder Lighttuck holster, I use their “wedge” ($10 add on) that works wonderfully for AIWB.

This (below) seems to be their latest “comfort” product and seems it would work on kydex in any position on the belt.

When I first bought my Hellcat, it was standard, no optic, I had no compensator. I added the optic and occasionally use the compensator I bought from Springfield in a kit (threaded barrel/compensator), so I needed a different holster to use with that configuration…went with this…I find it very comfortable as well.
