A Florida woman is accused of trying to smuggle cocaine into jail by hiding it inside her body.
Reagan Cox, 30, was arrested on Saturday, June 27, in Brevard County after allegedly resisting arrest during a traffic stop, according to inmate records and a statement from the Brevard County Sheriff's Office.
After being booked into the Brevard County Jail, Cox was screened with a body scanner, which reportedly detected an “abnormality” in her “lower region,” authorities said.

She was then taken to a private room for a more thorough search. During the search, authorities claim Cox tried to cover her buttocks with her hand.
When officers moved her hand, “a baggie dropped to the floor containing approximately 3.8 grams of cocaine,” the statement alleges.
According to the sheriff's office, Cox allegedly told officers she was unaware the substance was there, claiming someone must have put them there during an "intimate encounter."

Cox was then booked on an additional charge of bringing a controlled substance into a county detention facility, per the statement.
Online inmate records show Cox was released from custody that same day. It’s unclear if she has entered a plea to the charges or retained an attorney to speak on her behalf
