how does this do the job..??

Why do people worry about the suffering and disposing of human waste. these people had no regards for the pain and suffering of the people they murdered. put them to sleep the cheapest and easiest way possible and let they crybabies whine about it. these killers deserve everything they get. Now i also know there are cases that should be handled differently, but these monsters that just kill for no reason, yeah who cares how they die, long as they die.
exactly how i and many others feel...but i'm going along thinking that with all the bleeding hearts out there, that will in time, put an end to the death penalty forever.

we need such a penalty to rid the world of the probability or possibility for those on death row, to either escape, or due to some "technical glitch", get set free.

So instead of just doing away with the SOB, you wanna feed, clothe, house and provide free medical care to them until they die of old age? Not me ! I'm all for saving the taxpayers the expense. Just get it over with ASAP.

By the time they get around to actually executing them they've generally spent more than they would have had they just housed them in a 8x10 cell until they died of old age.

I will say that if they come down with a life ending disease, cancer or the like, only palliative care should be given there should be no attempt made to extend their life.

Why do people worry about the suffering and disposing of human waste.

Because that makes us as inhumane as they are.

Especially what they call glory killing where victim is tortured or stabbed multiple times and those that kill or torture children
There are plenty of grass-roots efforts at the local levels year after year to amend the laws to make the death penalty applicable to certain crimes committed when certain factors are present.

Has been that way for years. But on those local levels in mostly red states and blue states, those efforts typically fail to pass.

It’s the Christians that don’t want to kill thy neighbor. In fact, it’s just as hotly debated as abortion. There just isn’t a right or wrong answer to the question.

Guess I'm just a heathen. 🤔

Not to start a religious debate but pointing out that the Bible does lay out several circumstances in which the death penalty is absolutely appropriate.

So I'm fairly certain that that's not a "Christian" idea.
Don’t disagree. Guess what I should have clarified is there are those that take that “position “ to justify their agenda - and to do so doesn’t automatically imply they even know what they are talking about.

I am a firm believer in the firing squad and I am against continuous appeals for outrages crimes. IMO there should be a limit on the number of appeals and a time limit like 3 years to file said appeals. I know that Idaho reverted back to a firing squad and it was unanimous and I would have agreed whole heartedly.
This. The appeals process should NOT take decades! ( heck, couldn’t being on “death row” for years actually be considered “cruel and unusual” punishment? Frankly, when there is NO question that the dude Actually DID the crime (ie multiple witnesses to a murder or mass shooting) there should be a trial followed by a public, broadcast, hanging within a few days. Be a good lesson for those so inclined as to why they shouldn’t do that kind of crap.

Politics also plays a role in the length of the appeals process. Judges are extremely sensitive to how their constituents feel about their rulings.
